My Personal Experiences

My name is Alain Sergile, candidate of Electrical Engineer at Massachusetts Bay Community College. I was born in Haiti. I was having a wonderful life with both my parents until mid-June 1984 where my father decided to come to the United States to make a leaving and support the rest of the family. Thus, my mother had to play not only her role as a mother, but also the role of a father to give us the certainty that nothing was missing as far as the taking good care of us concerned.

My mother did the best she could to initiate into every single one of us the eager to become a great person some where in our lives. Those repeated motivations have created an impact in my life, indeed, in my personality and made me always thought of myself as a future professional. Also, as I was growing up, I took academics very seriously because i always thought of school as the only way to become a great person in my life.

Another big event in my life occurred when my mother left the country to U.S to join my father, who has already been here since 1984. I only had the earliest stage of my life with both of my parents. I was just a little kid when my father came to America and 10 years later, was me and my brother's turn. Thereafter my brother and I have been taking care of by one of our aunts (my mother's sister) and her husband. Although different persons have raised me throughout my life, the same eager and the ambition of becoming a great person has always been the priority in my life.
